Hello, I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I had an Lg Vx8600 and the charging port broke. Well I really liked the phone and my brother in law upgraded and gave me his old vx8600. We both have verizon.
I tried to activate the phone going through verizons website, no go! I then called the number listed to talk to a tech person. After about 45 minutes and trying to reprogram the phone manually it would not be recognized. Finally verizon tech support told me sorry there nothing we can do.
The phone goes through everything as if it is ok. Once I place the *228 called and press #1 is will not recognized the one.

Wondering if you guys have any idea's on what else I might try.

Should this be in a different section?

I just tried programming the phone again and now when dialing *228 it says "your phone cannot be programmed at this time". Not sure what to do ?

    thanks again for all suggestion

Ya they went through a series of things and some of the menu options they were looking for were not in the phone. After trying multiple things they advised they were out of idea's.

If I go one verizon's website and change the MEID for my phone line it works fine and recognizes the phone. But once I try to program it, it say it can not recognize my phone at this time. Anyone have any idea on what the problem might be? Thanks!

I'm not sure what that means.
