I am trying to add a few sounds to my LG Xenon, and applying them as Ringtunes...Im not the type that has music as a Ringtune...I am using mp3's that are under 300kb, and are also under 30 seconds...

When i add them to my phone, they show up under the "Organizer/Audio & Ring Tunes", but there is no option to make them a Ringtune...

When i go into the "Settings", and look for the sound under the "Audio & Ring Tunes" there, the sounds are not listed...

Is there something i am doing wrong?

    Re: LG Xenon Ringtone Question...

I have found that audio added to the phone goes to the Audio section of the phone under My Stuff. The only audio section of the phone that can be used for ringtones is the Sounds section listed under Settings. I have not figured out how to move items from the Audio section to the Sounds section. I think this would solve the problem of not being able to use recorded or transferred audio as ringtones.

    Re: LG Xenon Ringtone Question...

If you go into your "audio" files, it shows you all of the audio you have on your cellphone, even the ringtones that don't show up in your "Sounds" file where you set your ringtones. Select the song you want, and it will bring it to the screen were it plays it for you. In the top right-hand corner of the screen is the drop down menu. If you press that, it will bring up 4 options. "use as"; "send via"; "delete" & "rename". Select "use as" and it will give you two more options "ringtone" or "ringtone ID". If you select ringtone, it makes it into your default ringtone for calls. If you select ringtone ID, you can set it to a contact. Unfortunately it doesn't give you an option to set it as your message ringtone, I'm still in the process of trying to figure that out. Hope this was helpful!
