    When I try to text sometimes it will fail sending until I power off and power on. Also one time I received the same text message from my dad about 20 times. They guys at Sprint said they didn't know what to do. Any ideas?

    Call Sprint customer service and tell them to do a phone refresh due to the fact that your having problems with your text messaging.

    Whenever I have network issues, I just restart my phone and it usually works normal again.

    They claim that they have an update just released at the end of Nov. to fix this problem. There seems to be mixed reviews on whether or not it really worked. Its an OTA update.

    I am having the same exact problem as you. I just called Sprint Technical Support the other day. They took me through the troubleshooting process three times with three reps. I am currently waiting for a call back from them. They said that they are going to check my account and the local tower and I have to wait 72 hours. If there are no issues with my account or the tower than they said they are going to replace my phone. Then they said if the trouble continues that they are going to give me a new phone of a different kind.
