Just launched across the world last month, the LG Optimus One has already sold over 1 million units. This may have something to do with Google's Android which runs on Android 2.2 Froyo plus it has become a popular handset.
The LG Optimus One sells for around $300 if bought without a contract. T-Mobile has the same handset but is known as the Optimus T and Sprint has the handset as Optimus S. Verizon is on a roll and will soon launch the same handset on November 18th as the LG Vortex. mus S at Sprint. It will also be launched by Verizon (on November 18) as LG Vortex.

I wonder if it sold so many, so quickly because of the varying color scheme!? Each color probably attracted all sorts of different consumer bases.
Other phone companies should think about doing that, oh and probably not making crappy phones

Or they sold many because price is cheap at around $280 in some countries...arguably the cheapest Froyo phone in the market.

I have an LG optimus one.. been using it for weeks now...what i love most is the google android 2.2 and the specification that is truly amazing on its price category.. got mine from timtechs.com unlocked and im a happy camper

totally agree... and a big PLUS is the hardware specs .... the package is unbeatable..

The price is the most reason for sold so many,because there wouldn't exist many android phone with $300, or you buy a common brand,not these popular brands.
