So I got a LG D-Lite phone from my dad's friend. It was his daughters and shes not using it anymore and so gave it to me to use. So I put in my SIM card in and everythings fine except for the calling thing. I can';t make any calls cuz it won;'t get service. Is there a way I can fix this? I even tried resetting the whole phone ..
this is T-Mobile

Re: LG D-lite no service after SIM swap
This may seem like a "duh" question but is your SIM card for T-Mobile as well? The D-Lite is on their network but unless you have unlocked or have an unlocked D-Lite you won't be able to just sim swap and have service.

Haha yeah mine is a T-mobile. I was actually speculating that when I first got the phone that maybe she did unlock the phone. Is there a way to....re lock the phone? or make it work?

Re: LG D-lite no service after SIM swap
locked vs unlocked isn't relevant since you are both on T-Mobile. Is the phone on a blacklist at T-Mo? Also, does your SIM work in your old phone or another T-Mo phone? If it does work, then I would contact T-Mo and see if the phone was blacklisted.

Also you might want to ask over to lgforum.com as well. They have a pretty robust forum for LG on T-Mobile as well as LG product pro's who might have come across this issue. I didnt see anything posted about this issues yet either.

Re: LG D-lite no service after SIM swap
Okay, great. Going to the supplier or manufacturer's site or forums or support ( like in your case lg mobile support ) is usually the wiser thing to do when you are at a loss on what to do with your purchased item/s. That's what I resort to myself. Helps a lot.
Hope to hear your success story after this.Last edited by JWainscot; 06-27-2011 at 01:29 AM. Reason: typo error
