LG 500G - How to switch between calls?

If I'm on the phone with someone, and I start to get the boop-boop of another call coming in, how can I switch back and forth between calls?

And why is the forum changing "switch back" to "Switch-Back"???

When you're receiving a call, you can press the SEND/CALL button to switch to the new call. When you want to Switch-Back, hit SEND/CALL again.

Is there a way to make a second incoming call silent, so I don't have to hear the frantic boop-boop-boop while I'm talking to the first party?

When you’re in a call and another call comes in, answering the incoming call will place the first caller on hold. Tap Flash to switch between the calls.

Tip: When you're on a call, you’ll see your options in the on-screen menu. Slide your finger right to type numbers while in a call; slide your finger left to see the contact card of the person you’re talking to.

I'm not sure if that is possible on a basic phone. It might work on a smartphone.

If you want to slient the first call,you can simply press the hold button and dial the second number from your contact list.
