    Hello.

I have a T-Mobile LG P769 (L9) with ICS Android. It works almost 100% fine, but there are things that bug me with the web browsing and Facebook.

    Example:
When I use the official Facebook App to click a youtube link, it doesn't ask me to use the Youtube app to open the video. Instead, it transfers to the default Internet Browser (or Chrome, depending on my choice) and presents the desktop version of Facebook (with no zoom, so everything is tiny) and a page that says that my browser is not supported.

If I enter say, "m.facebook.com" to force the browser to use the mobile website, it shows it, but as soon as I click a video link or some other link, it always transfers to the desktop version of Facebook and the same annoying "unsupported browser" page.

Also, there are websites that know when you enter with a mobile device so they present you automatically the mobile website instead of the regular (desktop) one, but this doesn't happen with my phone.

The guys at LG tell me to ask the guys at T-Mobile and vice-versa, so I'm still in square one.

I've already tried the "about:debug--->UAString: Android" solution but it is already set in Android, so no improvement there.

So, for some reason it wants you to watch the video within Facebook, instead of linking you to YouTube? If it was a link to YouTube I would think you would get the choice of watching it within the YouTube application or on the website via the web browser.

Example: Someone posts a link on facebook; of any kind, not just Youtube. You click on it and instead of opening the right app for it (in the case of Youtube links) or using the phone's web browser for opening the actual website the link refers to, it opens the browser and presents the desktop facebook version with the "not compatible" message. Really annoying. Also, in the facebook app you can't select-copy text, so you can't copy the links for pasting them in the browser...

And of course, the other issue, that browser opens every website, Google, youtube, with the regular desktop version of the website. It doesn't seem to get that it is a mobie device and should request and present the mobile version. I know not all websites have mobile versions, but the most popular do, and it doesn't work with them.

That sounds like a glitch in the application. Have you downloaded all of the updates for the application? Have you tried uninstalling, and then downloading the application again?

You can also try contacting Facebook but I don't think you'd receive a reply from them.
