How-to: LG Optimus L3: Manage Contacts (Import, Export, Add, Remove or Assign Ringtones to a Contact)

Add or Remove a Contact

1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
2. Tap Contacts -> tap the plus sign (+) to add a new contact -> tap the account where you’d like your contact to be sync with.
3. Then, in the designated fields, enter a name and a phone number for your contact.
4. Tap MOBILE to change the label and then select the desired one.
5. If you want to add another phone number, tap Add new.
6. To remove a phone number tap the Remove icon (the red x icon).
7. Enter any other contact details.
8. When finished, tap Save.
9. Your contact has been successfully added.
10. To return to the contact list, tap the Back key.
11. If you want to delete a contact, tap and hold the contact that you wish to delete.
12. Then tap Delete contact -> tap Yes.
13. The contact has been successfully deleted.

Exporting Contacts

1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
2. Tap Contacts -> press the Menu key -> tap Import/Export -> tap Export to SD card -> tap the contacts that you would like to export to the SD card.
3. When ready, tap Export.
4. In case you receive a prompt message asking you to confirm the export, tap Yes.
5. Name the vCard and tap OK.
6. Your contacts have been successfully exported to the microSD card.

Importing Contacts

1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
2. Tap Contacts -> press the Menu key -> tap Import/Export -> tap Import from SD card select the location where you would like to save the contacts to -> select the desired vCard file.
3. When ready, tap Import.
4. In case you receive a prompt message asking you to confirm the import, tap Yes.
5. Your contacts have been successfully imported to your LG Optimus L3.

Assigning a Ringtone to a Contact

1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
2. Tap Contacts -> tap the desired contact and then tap the Edit icon located at the top right side of the screen.
3. Then tap the Ringtone field and select the ringtone that you would like to assign to this particular contact -> tap OK -> tap Save.
4. The ringtone has been successfully assigned to the desired contact.
