Bluetooth Management

Enabling / Disabling Bluetooth:

  1. While on the home screen, tap "All apps"
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Bluetooth" under "Wireless & Networks"
  4. Ta[ the "Bluetooth" switch to enable or disable Bluetooth

Pairing With Another Bluetooth Headset or Device:

  1. While on the home screen, tap "All Apps"
  2. Tap "Settings" and make sure that "Bluetooth" is enabled
  3. Tap Bluetooth and tap "Search for devices" if necessary
  4. On the Bluetooth devices list, select the device that you wish to pair your smartphone with
  5. If prompted, enter the password. NOTE: by default, most devices have the Bluetooth password set as "1234" or "0000"
  6. On the other device, accept the pairing request, if necessary

Wi-Fi Management

Enabling / Disabling Wi-Fi:

  1. From any home screen, tap the "All apps" icon
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "Wireless & Networks" tap "Wi-Fi"
  4. Tap the "Wi-Fi" slider to enable or disable the feature

Scanning and Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network:

  1. From the home screen, tap "All apps"
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "Wi-Fi" under "Wireless & Networks"
  4. Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled and tap "Scan"
  5. In the list of networks, select the one that you wish to connect to
  6. If the network is secured, enter the security credentials
  7. Tap "Connect"

Deleting a Wi-Fi Network Profile:

  1. Tap "All apps" > "Settings"
  2. Tap "Wi-Fi" under "Wireless & Networks"
  3. Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled
  4. Scroll to the Wi-Fi network that you wish to delete and tap it
  5. Tap "Forget"

NFC and GPS Management

NFC (Near Field Communication) allows you to read NFC tags with your smartphone, or communicate with another NFC-enabled smartphone in order to transfer various files.

Enabling / Disabling NFC:

  1. Tap the "All apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "More…" under "Wireless & Networks"
  4. Mark or unmark the "NFC" check box to enable or disable the feature

To use NFC:

  1. Place the back of your device against an NFC tag or the back of another NFC device (that has NFC enabled)
  2. Once your phone successfully reads the tag you will hear a notification sound
  3. The related content will be shown on the screen

Enabling / Disabling GPS:

  1. While on the home screen, tap "All apps"
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Scroll down to "Personal" and tap "Location"
  4. To disable GPS tap the bar at the top of the screen
  5. With GPS enabled, you can tap "Mode" and select one of the following options:
    • High Accuracy: enables GPS, Wi-Fi and the mobile network to estimate location
    • Battery saving: enables Wi-Fi and mobile network to estimate location. This option will disable GPS
    • Device only: Use only GPS to pinpoint location
