Master Resetting

- From the home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Tap "System settings"
- Scroll to "Personal" and tap "General"
- Tap "Backup & reset" > "Factory data reset"
- Tap "Reset phone" > "Erase everything"
- Press "OK" in the warning window and the process will commence
Master Resetting Using Hardware Keys:

- If necessary, back up your personal data
- Turn off the smartphone and ensure that it isn't connected to a USB cable or charger
- Press and hold the "Volume down" and "Power" button at the same time, for about 8 seconds
- After the "LG Logo" appears, release the "Power" button and re-hold it immediately
- At the "Factory Hard Reset" screen, release both hardware buttons
- Press "Power" to confirm the factory reset. (NOTE: to cancel, tap the "Volume" buttons)
Safe Mode Management
If you have problems with a third party application that prevents you from uninstalling it, then you can enter safe mode and do the procedure from there. In safe mode, all third party applications are disabled by default.
Enabling Safe Mode:
- Press and hold the "Power" key
- From the pop-up menu, tap and hold "Power off"
- Review the "Reboot to safe mode" message and tap "OK"
- After your smartphone restarts, a "Safe mode" message should be present in the lower-left corner of the screen
Uninstalling an Application:
- To uninstall the problematic app from Safe Mode, press the "Menu" button from the home screen
- Select "System settings"
- Scroll to "Device" and tap "Apps"
- Select the application that you want to remove and tap "Uninstall"
- When you're ready to exit safe mode, press and hold "Power" and tap "Power off and restart"
- Tap "OK" to confirm
