Performing Backups

Backing up Applications:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "LG Backup"
  3. Select "Backup"
  4. Mark the check boxes associated with "LG Apps" and "Downloaded apps"
  5. Clear the check boxes of non-relevant items
  6. Tap "Next"
  7. Select to create a backup on the "Internal storage" or "Use the lock when creating backup file"
  8. Tap "Start" > "Done"

Backing Up Contacts, Messages and Calendars:

  1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Tap "LG Backup" > "Backup"
  3. Mark the check box next to "Personal data"
  4. Clear the checkboxes associated with other categories
  5. Tap "Next"
  6. Select the location of the backup, such as "Internal storage" or "Use the lock when creating backup file"
  7. Tap "Start" and tap "Done" when the process is complete

Backing Up Media Files:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Tap "LG Backup"
  3. Select "Backup"
  4. Mark the "Media data" check box. This will back up documents, photos, videos and music files
  5. Clear the check boxes associated with non-relevant types of files
  6. Tap "Next" and select "Internal storage" or "Use the lock when creating backup file"
  7. Tap "Start" > "Done"

Restoring Data

Restoring Applications:

  1. Open the apps drawer and tap "LG Backup"
  2. Tap "Restore"
  3. Choose the desired backup file and tap "Next"
  4. In the warning screen, review the information and tap "Start"
  5. Your device will now reboot

Restoring Contacts, Messages and Calendars:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
  2. Tap "LG Backup" and go to "Restore"
  3. Choose the desired backup file and tap "Next"
  4. Tap "Start" in the warning information screen
  5. Wait for your smartphone to reboot

Restoring Media Files:

  1. Launch the "LG Backup" application and tap "Restore"
  2. Choose the backup containing the media files
  3. Tap "Next" and tap "Start" in the review warning info window
  4. After the process is complete, your smartphone will restart
