Changing the Phone's Language:
- From any of the home screens, swipe the "Status" bar down
- Tap "Settings" > "Language & input"
- Select "Language"
- Tap a desired language pack, and press "Back" or "Home"
Setting a New Wallpaper:
- While viewing the home screen, tap and hold an empty area
- Tap "Wallpapers"
- Choose the type of wallpaper you wish to apply
- Select the desired wallpaper
- Tap "Apply", and press "home" to return to the home screen
Applying a Wallpaper from the "Gallery" App:
- Tap the "Gallery" application located on the home screen
- From the gallery app, tap an album
- Select the image that you wish to use as a wallpaper
- Press the "Menu" button and tap "Set image as"
- Select "Home screen wallpaper" or "Just once"
- Drag the border lines of the image to crop and resize it
- Tap "OK" > "Yes". Optionally, you can also mark the "Set on Lock screen" check box
Enabling a Lock Screen for the First Time:
- While on the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Tap "Settings"
- Go to "Lock screen" and tap "Select screen lock"
- Choose the desired security option, and follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the setup
Adding or Removing Home Screens:
- From the home screen, perform a "pinch" gesture on the screen
- To add a new home screen, tap the "+" panel
- To change the order of the home screens, press and hold one, and move it in the desired location
- To view a home screen, tap it
- If you wish to remove a home screen, perform a pinch gesture, then tap and hold the desired home screen. Drag it on top of the "Remove" area
Adding Shortcuts and Widgets to the Home Screen:
- Tap the "Apps" icon while viewing a home screen
- Go to the "Apps" or "Widgets" tab
- Browse through your apps or widgets
- To add an app or widget, tap and hold it, then drag and drop it on the desired home screen
Creating Folders on the Home Screen:
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Tap and hold an application that you wish to be added in the home screen folder
- Drag the app on top of a different shortcut located on the home screen. The phone will automatically create a folder containing both shortcuts
- To rename the folder, tap to open it, and tap the "Folder" text
- Enter the desired folder name and tap "Done"
- Set a different folder color if you desire, and tap "OK"
- If you wish to add more apps in the folder, tap "+"
- To remove apps from a folder, tap and hold the desired app, and drag it outside of the folder
Moving or Resizing Widgets:
- Locate the home screen containing the desired widget
- Tap and hold the desired widget. A blue border should appear around the widget, unless the widget is non-resizable
- Drag the blue borders to resize the widget, and tap outside of the widget area when ready
- To move a widget, tap and hold it, then drag it in the desired location
Adding Widgets to the Lock Screen:
- While the phone is in sleep mode, press the "Power" key
- From the lock screen, swipe to the right
- Tap the "+" button
- Select the desired widget, and it will be added to the lock screen
