Restoring Applications:
- Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings" and go to "personal"
- Touch "Backup & reset" and mark the "Automatic restore" check box
Restoring Contacts:
- While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
- Access the "Settings" menu
- Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
- Tap "LG Backup service" > "File restore & management"
- Browse for, locate and tap the desired backup file
- Tap "Next"
- To begin the restore, press "Start". The process may take several minutes
- At the "Restored" pop-up, tap "Done"
- Your smartphone will now reboot, and the contacts should be restored
Restoring Data from the SD Card:
- Tap "Apps" while viewing a home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Scroll to "Personal" and then tap "Backup & reset"
- Tap "LG Backup service" > "File restore & management"
- Navigate to, and tap the desired SD card backup
- Tap "Next" and press "Start" to begin the restore.
- Once the "Restored" message appears, press "Done" and wait for your smartphone to reboot
Restoring Media Files Using the Smartphone:
- Open the apps drawer and tap "Settings"
- Tap "Backup & reset" under "personal"
- Tap "LG Backup service" and go to "File restore & management"
- Locate the desired backup file and tap it
- Tap "Next" > "Start". It may take a few minutes for the media files to be restored
- When the process is done, tap "Done" and wait for your smartphone to reboot
Restoring Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Use the USB cable to connect the LG G3 to your computer
- When prompted on the LG G3, tap "Media sync (MTP)"
- On the computer, navigate to where the desired media files are located
- Copy the files, and then navigate to your phone's storage, specifically where you wish to restore the media files
- Paste the files in the desired location
- Once the process is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from your computer by clicking the "removable mass storage device" icon in the system tray
