Transferring Contacts using a Google Account:

Using a Google account you can easily transfer your contacts from one phone to another. First, you need to sync the contacts located on your Samsung Galaxy SIII with your Google account, after which you can re-sync the contacts from the account with the LG G3. To perform this method:

    1. Register your Google account on the Samsung Galaxy SIII
    2. Press "Menu" from the SIII's home screen and tap "Settings"
    3. Go to "My Accounts" and tap "Google"
    4. Tap your "user name" or "email address"
    5. Tap "Sync Now" or clear and mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts"
    6. Switch to the LG G3 and log in with the same Google account
    7. Tap "Apps" from the home screen and go to "Settings"
    8. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Accounts & sync"
    9. If necessary, select the account, and allow it to sync contacts with your LG smartphone

Using the "Import / Export" Function:

You can easily export the contacts stored on the SGSIII in the form of a VCF file, by accessing the "Contacts" app and using the "Export" function from the menu. Once the file is created, you can transfer it on the LG G3 via email or by using a computer

    1. From the SGSIII's home screen, tap "Contacts"
    2. Go to the "Contacts" tab and press "Menu"
    3. Tap "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
    4. Press "Menu" and then tap "Import / Export"
    5. Select to "Export to SD card"
    6. Make sure you remember the file's name tap "OK"
    7. Launch the email app and compose a new email
    8. Attach the VCF file to the email, and send it to your own Gmail address
    9. On the LG G3, launch the email app and open the email
    10. Download the attached VCF file
    11. Launch the "Contacts" app and press "Menu"
    12. Tap "Import / Export" and select to import from the location where the VCF file is located
    13. Browse for the file, select an account if necessary, and import its contents

NOTE: After the VCF file has been created on the SIII, you can transfer the file to the LG G3 by connecting both smartphones to a PC via USB, and manually copying the file to the LG G3's "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the "Contacts" app and import the file as explained above

    Using "Send Anywhere":

Send Anywhere is a third party application that can be used for transferring contacts and various other types of files from one phone to another, via a P2P connection. This method doesn't require access to a computer.

    1. Go to the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on both Android devices
    2. Launch the app on both smartphones
    3. On the Galaxy SIII, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
    4. Select the contacts you wish to share, and tap "Send"
    5. Lastly, choose the desired sharing method. You can tap "Generate QR Code" on the SGSIII, and scan the QR Code with the LG G3's camera in order to begin the transfer. Alternatively, tap "Receive" on the G3, and type in the randomly generated transfer code from the Samsung device
