Backing Up Applications:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Personal"
  3. Tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Mark the check box associated with "Back up my data"

Backing Up Contacts:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
  3. Tap "Backup & reset" under "Personal"
  4. Tap "LG Backup service" and then tap "Backup"
  5. Select to save the backup file on the "SD card", "Internal storage" or in the "Cloud"
  6. Tap "Next" and select "Personal data", but deselect the other options
  7. Go to the "Personal" data folder and ensure that "Contacts" is selected
  8. Tap "Next" > "Start"
  9. After the "Backup completed" message appears (it may take several minutes), tap "Done"

Backing Up Data on the SD Card:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Tap "Settings" and swipe to "Personal"
  3. Tap "Backup & Reset", followed by "LG Backup service"
  4. Tap "Backup" > "SD Card"
  5. Touch "Next" and mark the items you wish to back up
  6. Tap "Next" a second time, and press "Start"
  7. At the "Backup completed" message, tap "Done"

Backing Up Media Files Using the Smartphone:

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Go to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  5. Choose to back up the data on the "Internal storage", "SD card" or "Cloud"
  6. Tap "Next"
  7. Mark the "Media data" check box, and deselect the other options
  8. Open the "Media data" folder and specify the media files you wish to back up
  9. Tap "Next" and press "Start"
  10. Tap "Done" at the "Backup completed" message

Backing Up Media Files Using a Computer:

  1. Connect the LG G3 S to your computer using the USB cable
  2. At the prompt, mark the "Media sync (MTP)" check box
  3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to browse the smartphones folders
  4. Locate the desired media files and copy them
  5. Go to the backup location on your computer, and paste the files on the PC's hard drive
  6. After the transfer is done, click the "Mass Storage Device" icon located in the system tray, and safely disconnect your smartphone
