Backing Up Applications:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Personal" and then tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Mark the check box associated with "Back up my data"

Backing Up Contacts:

  1. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings" and swipe to "Personal"
  3. Tap "Backup & reset" > "LG Backup service"
  4. Touch "Backup" and select to back up the data on the "Internal storage", "SD card" or "Cloud"
  5. Tap "Next" and select "Personal data" while deselecting the other options
  6. Open the "Personal data" folder and make sure "Contacts" is selected
  7. Tap "Next" > "Start". The process may take several minutes to complete
  8. At the "Back up completed" message, tap "Done"

Backing Up Data to the SD Card:

  1. From the home screen tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  5. Select "SD card" and then tap "Next"
  6. Mark the items you wish to back up and tap "Next"
  7. To begin the backup process, press "Start"
  8. Tap "Done" at the "Backup completed" message

Backing Up Media Files Using Your Smartphone:

  1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen and go to "Settings"
  2. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  3. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  4. Choose to back up the file on the "Internal storage", "SD card" or "Cloud"
  5. Tap "Next" and select "Media data". Deselect other non-media items
  6. Expand the "Media data" folder and select the desired files
  7. Tap "Next" followed by "Start" to begin the process
  8. Tap "Done" at the "Back up completed" notification

Backing Up Media Files Using a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the LG G3 Cat.6 and PC
  2. On the smartphone, tap "Media sync (MTP)"
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the PC, click to browse the handset's files and folders
  4. Locate the desired files and copy them
  5. Navigate to the backup location on your computer's HDD and paste the files there
  6. After the transfer is done, click the "Mass storage device" icon from the system ray, and safely disconnect your device from the PC
