Backing Up Apps:

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Launch "Settings" and scroll to "Personal"
  3. Tap "Backup & reset" and mark the check box associated with "Back up my data"

Backing Up Contacts:

  1. Open the apps drawer and launch "Settings"
  2. Swipe to "Personal" and then tap "Backup & reset"
  3. Tap "LG Backup service"
  4. Tap "Backup" and select to create the back up on the "Internal storage", "SD card" or "Cloud"
  5. Mark the "Personal data" check box, and deselect the others
  6. Expand the "Personal data" folder and ensure that the "Contacts" option is check marked
  7. Tap "Next" > "Start" to begin the backup process
  8. When the "Back up completed" message pops-up, tap "Done"

Backing Up Data on the SD Card:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Open the phone's "Settings" menu
  3. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  5. Tap "SD Card" > "Next"
  6. Choose the items you want to back up and tap "Next"
  7. Tap "Start" and wait for the process to complete
  8. When the "Backup completed" message appears, press "Done"

Backing Up Media Files on Your Phone:

  1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Under "Personal", tap "Backup & reset"
  3. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  4. Choose to back up your media files on the "SD card", "Internal storage" or "Cloud"
  5. Tap "Next"
  6. Mark the "Media data" check box and deselect other non-media items
  7. Expand the "Media Data" folder and select the files you wish to back up
  8. Tap "Next" and press "Start"
  9. Tap "Done" when the process is completed

Backing Up Media Files Using a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between your LG Tribute and PC
  2. When / If prompted, tap "Media sync (MTP)". If the option doesn't appear, select it from the notification area
  3. In the AutoPlay window on your computer, select to browse the phone's directories
  4. Navigate to the media files you wish to back up, located on your phone
  5. Copy the files and paste them in the desired location on your computer's hard drive
  6. Once the transfer is done, click the "Mass Storage Device" icon located in the system tray
  7. Eject the phone's virtual drive and safely disconnect your smartphone from the PC
