Back Up Applications:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings
  3. Access the “General” tab
  4. Swipe to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & reset
  5. Ensure the “Back up my data” check box is ticked

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings” and scroll to “Phone Management
  3. Tap “Backup & reset
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Back up safely
  5. Tap “Back up to” and enable “LG Cloud
  6. When / if prompted, sign in to your LG Account and select “Personal data
  7. Deselect the other options and expand “Personal data”. Make sure “Contacts” is selected
  8. Tap “Start” to begin the backup
  9. Once the “Back up completed” message appears, tap “Done

Back Up Data to the SD Card:

  1. Tap “Apps” from the home screen
  2. Access “Settings
  3. Under “Phone management” tap “Backup & reset
  4. Scroll to “LG Backup” and tap “Back up safely
  5. Tap “Back up to” > “SD Card
  6. Select the items you want to back up and tap “Start
  7. At the “Backup completed” prompt, tap “Done

Back Up Media Files Using the Phone:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. From “Settings” scroll to “Phone Management
  3. Tap “Backup & reset
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Back up safely
  5. Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
  6. Expand the “Media data” directory and select the items you want to back up
  7. Tap “Start” and press “Done” when completed

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG G Stylo to your computer via USB
  2. If / when prompted, tap “Media sync (MTP)
  3. Open “My Computer” on the PC and locate then right-click the backup file (should end with “.sbf” sans the quotation marks)
  4. Select “Copy
  5. Navigate to the desired backup location on the computer and paste the file
