Restore Applications From an LG Backup File:

  1. Connect the LG G Stylo to your computer via USB
  2. If / when prompted, select “Media sync (MTP)”
  3. Open “My computer” on the PC and right click the “.sbf” backup file
  4. Select “Copy” and navigate to the phone’s storage
  5. Transfer the file on the phone and restore it using LG Backup

Restore Contacts:

  1. Tap “Apps” from the home screen
  2. Swipe to and tap “Settings”
  3. Access the “General” tab
  4. Under “Phone Management” tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Swipe to “LG Backup” and tap “Restore from backup”
  6. Locate and select the contacts backup file
  7. Tap “Start” to begin the restore
  8. When “Restored” pops-up, tap “Done”
  9. Wait for the phone to reboot and the contacts should be restored

Restore Contacts from SD:

  1. From the home screen tap “Apps”
  2. Tap “Settings” and go to the “General” tab
  3. Swipe to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Scroll to “LG Backup service” and tap “Restore from backup”
  6. Locate and tap the SD card backup
  7. Tap “Start” and wait for the “Restored” message to appear
  8. Tap “Done” and wait for the phone to reboot

Restore Media Files from the Device:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Swipe to and tap “Settings”
  3. Access the “General” tab
  4. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  6. Locate and select the media backup then tap “Start”
  7. At the “Restored completed” message, tap “Restart”
  8. Wait for the phone to reboot and your media files should be restored

Restore Media Files from an LG Backup file on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG G Stylo to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, tap “Media sync (MTP)"
  3. Open “My computer” on the PC and right click the backup file ending with “.sbf”
  4. Select “Copy” and paste the file on your smartphone
  5. Use LG Backup to restore the file’s contents
