Back Up Applications:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings
  3. If necessary, press “Menu” > “List view
  4. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Backup & reset
  5. Mark the check box associated with “Back up my data

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. If necessary (from Tab view), tap “Menu” > “List view
  3. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Backup & reset
  4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore
  5. Tap “Back up data” and enable “LG Cloud
  6. If prompted log in with your LG account
  7. Tap “Personal data” and deselect the other options
  8. Expand the “Personal data” directory and make sure “Contacts” is selected
  9. Tap “Start” to begin the backup
  10. At the “Back up completed” tap “Done

Back Up Media Files Using the Phone:

  1. Tap “Apps” and go to “Settings
  2. If necessary press “Menu” and switch to “List view
  3. Under “Device” tap “Backup & reset
  4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore
  5. Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
  6. Expand the “Media data” folder and make sure the files you want to back up are selected
  7. Tap “Start” and wait for the process to end
  8. At the “Back up completed” message, tap “Done

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG G4 Beat to your computer via USB
  2. If prompted, enable “Media sync (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the notification area
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer click to “Open device to view files
  4. Locate the media files you want to back up and copy them
  5. Navigate to the desired backup location on your computer’s HDD and paste the files
  6. Once the transfer is done click the “Media device” icon in the system tray, eject the phone storage, and safely disconnect the phone from USB
