Back Up Applications:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- If necessary, press “Menu” > “List view”
- Swipe to “Device” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Mark the check box associated with “Back up my data”
Back Up Contacts:
- Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
- If necessary (from Tab view), tap “Menu” > “List view”
- Swipe to “Device” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
- Tap “Back up data” and enable “LG Cloud”
- If prompted log in with your LG account
- Tap “Personal data” and deselect the other options
- Expand the “Personal data” directory and make sure “Contacts” is selected
- Tap “Start” to begin the backup
- At the “Back up completed” tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files Using the Phone:
- Tap “Apps” and go to “Settings”
- If necessary press “Menu” and switch to “List view”
- Under “Device” tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
- Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
- Expand the “Media data” folder and make sure the files you want to back up are selected
- Tap “Start” and wait for the process to end
- At the “Back up completed” message, tap “Done”
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the LG G4 Beat to your computer via USB
- If prompted, enable “Media sync (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the notification area
- In the AutoPlay window on the computer click to “Open device to view files”
- Locate the media files you want to back up and copy them
- Navigate to the desired backup location on your computer’s HDD and paste the files
- Once the transfer is done click the “Media device” icon in the system tray, eject the phone storage, and safely disconnect the phone from USB
