Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Then you can sync the contacts from the account with the LG AKA.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes to reveal the summary page
  4. Access the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and choose an existing account, if applicable
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. After the process ends, switch to the LG AKA, register the same Google account as the one used in iTunes, and allow it to sync contacts with your device

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you have used the iCloud backup service before, your iPhone contacts should be stored on your iCloud account. You can access your iCloud account on a computer with Internet access, and export the contacts for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. Wait for the vCard file to be downloaded on the computer, and import the file to “Google Contacts
  7. Alternatively, you can skip the step above and instead connect the LG AKA to your computer, and then manually transfer the vCard file to its storage. Then you can use the “Contacts” app and the “Import” option to add the vCard’s contents to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: In case you’re looking for ways to transfer your iPhone contacts without the need of a computer, you can use third party apps such as My Contacts Backup instead. This is an iOS app that can be used for backing up and transferring contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup
  3. This will create a backup file containing your contacts
  4. Tap “Email” and compose a new email with the backup file attached to it
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the LG AKA, open the email, and download the attached file
  7. Use the “Contacts” app to import the file’s contents to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for transferring contacts is Send Anywhere. Available on iOS and Android, it can be used to transfer contacts and other types of files cross-platform, through a p2p connection, without needing a computer.

  1. Open the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the app on the LG AKA via the Google Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both handsets
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send” again
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method. You can tap “Receive” on the LG to enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the LG’s camera to start the sync
