Using a Google Account:

NOTE: You can use a Google account to sync the contacts on your SGSIII. Then you can sync the account data with the LG V10 to transfer the contacts.

  1. If necessary, sign in with your Google account on the Galaxy SIII
  2. Press “Menu” on the home screen and go to “Settings
  3. Tap “My Accounts” > “Google
  4. Tap your “email address” or “user name
  5. Enable “Sync Contacts” and tap “Sync Now
  6. Switch to the LG V10 and register the same Google account
  7. Allow the account to sync contacts with your LG device

Using the “Contacts” App:

NOTE: You can transfer your contacts by exporting them on the SGSIII using the default “Contacts” application, and them importing them on the LG V10 using its similar pre-loaded contacts app.

  1. Open “Contacts” on the Galaxy SIII
  2. Press “Menu” in the “Contacts” tab
  3. Tap “Contacts to display” > “All contacts
  4. Press “Menu” > “Import / Export
  5. Tap “Export to SD card” and make sure you remember the file’s name before tapping “OK
  6. After the vCard file is created, write a new email and attach the file to it
  7. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  8. Switch to the LG V10 and open the email, then download the attached file
  9. Launch “Contacts” and tap “Menu” > “Manage contacts
  10. Tap “Import
  11. Under “From”, select the vCard file downloaded from the email
  12. In the “To” field, select “Phone” or “Google
  13. Select the contacts you want to import or tap “Select all
  14. Tap “Import” > “Yes

NOTE: After you have created the vCard file on the SGSIII, you can transfer it to the LG V10 by connecting both smartphones to your computer via USB, and manually copy-pasting the file from one phone to the other.

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: You can also transfer contacts using third party applications, such as “Send Anywhere”. This is an app that uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files without the need of a computer.

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and install “Send Anywhere” on both smartphones
  2. Open the application on both handsets
  3. Tap “Send” on the SGSIII, and select “Contacts
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send
  5. Choose a transfer method. You can tap “Generate QR Code” on the SGSIII and scan the code with the LG V10, or tap “Receive” on the LG V10 and enter the transfer code from the SGSIII
