Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC to Use as Ringtones / Notifications:
- First, connect the LG K10 to your computer using the USB cable
- Next, drag the “Status” bar down on the phone’s home screen, and ensure “Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to browse the PC storage for the desired audio files
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” / “Ringtones” folders
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Launch the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap the “Sound & Notification” tab and go to “Ringtone”
- Select the ringtone you want to use and tap “OK”
Customize a Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Select the contact you wish to set a custom ringtone to
- Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
- Select a ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the “Settings” menu
- Scroll to and tap “Sound & notification”
- Swipe to “Advanced settings” and tap “More”
- Tap “Notification sound”
- Select the notification sound you want to use
- Tap “OK”
