Sync iPhone Contacts with Your Google Account via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the LG K8.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone
  4. Go to the “Info” tab and turn on “Sync Contacts With
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account if available
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Once the sync is done, register the same Google account on the LG K8 and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device

Export iCloud Contacts as a vCard:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to your iCloud account on a computer with Internet access, and export the contacts as a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the PC and perform one of the following steps:
    • Import the vCard file to “Google Contacts
    • Copy the vCard file to the phone storage and use the “Contacts” application to import it to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer, you can also transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the application
  3. Tap “Backup
  4. After the backup file is done, tap “Email
  5. Create a new email and make sure the vCard is attached to it
  6. Send the email to your own address
  7. Switch to the LG K8, open the email, and download the vCard attachment
  8. Import the vCard’s contents to your phonebook using “Contacts

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party application you can use, on both Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer content without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on your iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the LG K8
  3. Open the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts
  6. Tap “Send” and select a transfer method. For instance, you can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the LG K8 camera to start the transfer, or you can tap “Receive” on the LG device and enter the code generated on the iPhone
