    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings
    3. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
    4. Under “Phone management”, tap “Backup & reset
    5. Tap to enable “Back up my data

    Back Up Data on the SD Card:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Backup & reset
    3. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Back up safely
    4. Tap “Back up to” and select “SD card
    5. Select the items you want to back up
    6. Tap “Start” and wait for the “Backup completed” pop-up
    7. Tap “Done

    Back Up Contacts On LG Cloud:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management
    3. Scroll to “LG Backup” and tap “Back up safely
    4. Tap “Back up to
    5. Select “LG Cloud” and, when prompted, sign in with your LG account
    6. Tap “Personal data” and deselect the other options
    7. Expand the “Personal data” directory and make sure “Contacts” is enabled
    8. Tap “Start” and wait for the “Back up completed” prompt
    9. Tap “Done

    Back Up Media Files Using the Phone:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Phone Management
    3. Tap “Backup & reset
    4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Back up safely
    5. Select “Mobile data” and deselect the other non-media options
    6. Expand the “Media data” option and select the media files you want to back up
    7. Tap “Start
    8. When prompted with “Back up completed”, tap “Done

    NOTE: After you have backed up your media files using the method above, you can connect the LG K5 to a computer via USB and transfer the “.sbf” backup file to the PC for safekeeping.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the LG K5 and your computer
    2. On the phone’s home screen, slide the “Notification” bar down
    3. Make sure “Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
    4. On the computer, open the File Explorer
    5. Navigate to the phone storage and copy the desired media files
    6. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    7. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB
