Turn On Device Lock:
- Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Display”
- Tap “Lock screen” > “Select lock screen”
- Select the desired lock screen options and follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup
Change Device Lock Passwords:
- Launch “Settings”
- Tap “Display” > “Lock screen”
- Tap “Select lock screen” > “password”
- Enter the new password and tap “Continue”
- Enter the password again for confirmation and tap “OK”
Change Device Lock PIN:
- Open “Settings” and tap “Display”
- Tap “Lock screen” > “Select screen lock”
- Choose “PIN” and if necessary, enter your current lock screen password / PIN etc.
- Enter the desired PIN
- Tap “Continue” and enter the PIN again to confirm
- Tap “OK”
Disable the Lock Screen:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Display” and tap “Lock screen”
- Tap “Select screen lock”
- Choose “None”
- If necessary, enter your current PIN / password to confirm
Enable / Disable Emergency Alerts:
- Open “Messaging”
- Tap “Menu” and access “Settings”
- Scroll to “Advanced settings” and tap “More”
- Tap “Emergency alerts”
- Disable or enable “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and / or “AMBER alerts”
NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
