Restore App Data:
- Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
- Tap the “Settings” cog icon
- Go to the “General” tab if necessary
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup” and select the desired backup file to restore
- Tap “Start”
- At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done”
- If necessary, wait for your device to reboot
Restore Contacts from an SD Card Backup:
- Launch “Settings”
- Access the “General” tab
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup”
- Locate and select the SD card backup file you want to restore
- Tap “Start”
- At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done”
- If necessary, wait for your device to reboot and complete the process
Restore Media Files from Your Phone Storage:
- Launch “Settings”
- Go to the “General” tab if necessary
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup”
- Locate and select the media backup files you want to restore
- Tap “Start”
- When prompted with “Restore completed”, tap “Restart” and wait for your device to reboot and complete the process
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG phone to your computer via USB
- Turn on “Media sync (MTP)” or “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media file backups or the desired “.sbf” backup file you want to restore
- Copy and paste the file(s) on the phone storage
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
