Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Go to “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management
  4. Tap “Battery saver” and tap the “Battery saver” switch to ON
  5. Select a battery percentage at which the battery saver enables automatically

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Go to “Settings” and access the “Network” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity
  4. Tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot” and turn the feature OFF
  5. Go back to “Settings” and tap “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” OFF
  6. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Location” for more GPS options
  7. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving (Networks only)

Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab if necessary
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “More
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode
  5. Select “GMS only

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to the “Display” tab
  3. Tap “Brightness” under “Basic settings
  4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout
  6. Select a lower value, like “30 seconds

Disable Unused Smart Settings at Home:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions
  4. Tap “Smart settings” to disable the option

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & Power saving
  4. Turn off “Game optimizer

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background processes, and as such they can affect battery life when they are not in use. Thus by disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps"
  4. Go to “Downloaded
  5. Tap and hold the desired app and tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to turn the app Off
  6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall

Disable Background Data:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu
  4. Turn on “Restrict background data
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts / apps to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & Sync
  4. Optionally, turn off “Auto-sync data
  5. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account or app
  6. Change the sync settings as desired
