When i put a new sim in this locked to boost mobile phone, it doesn't request an unlock and boost doesnt have an unlock app on the phone like T-Mobile does . Can i purchase an unlock code , how much , and how would i actually use it to unlock the phone? I have talked to boost and verified clean imei, not stolen or lost , no balance; but they won't give me the code without 12 months of continuous service. I have the current sprint sim , phone number and pin.I've also tried to dial in secret codes, to bring up an unlock interface with no luck.would rooting the phone help any?
