How-to: LG K20 plus: Transfer Audio Files from a PC and Set Custom Ringtones & Notification Sounds

Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

1. Connect the LG K20 plus to your PC via USB
2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
4. Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” / “Ringtones” folder(s)
5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Change the Ringtone for All Calls:

1. Open “Settings”
2. Access the “Sound & Notification” tab
3. Tap “Ringtone”
4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM Card.

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
3. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
4. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change Email Notification Alerts:

1. Open “Email”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Select your “email” account
4. Scroll to “Notification settings” and clear or tick the “Notification” check box
5. Tap “Notification sound”
6. Select the desired notification alert and tap “OK” to confirm

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Under “General”, tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
4. Clear or tick the check boxes associated with “Imminent extreme alerts”, “Imminent severe alerts” and/or “AMBER alert”

NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
