NOTE: For instructions on how to back up data on the LG G6+, visit this thread.

Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. If necessary, switch to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone management
  4. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup
  5. Select the desired backup and tap “Start
  6. After the restore is complete, tap “Done

NOTE: Your smartphone may have to reboot at least once in order for the process to complete.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Under “Phone Management”, tap “Backup & reset
  4. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup
  5. Select SD card backup and press “Start
  6. When prompted with “Restored”, tap “Done” and wait for the phone to reboot

Restore Media Files:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup
  5. Locate and select the media file backup you want to restore and tap “Start
  6. At the “Restore completed” pop-up, tap “Restart” to confirm

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG G6+ to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media sync” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the PC and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
  4. Copy and transfer the backup files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device form the USB cord
