Restore App Data:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Switch to the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Under “Phone management”, tap “Backup & reset
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup
  5. Select the desired backup and tap “Start
  6. Once the restore is complete, tap “Done

NOTE: Your smartphone may need to reboot at least once for the process to complete.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup
  5. Select and SD card backup and tap “Start
  6. At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done” and wait for the phone to restart

Restore Media Files:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. From the “General” tab, go to “Phone Management
  3. Tap “Backup & reset
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup
  5. Locate and select the media file backups you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start
  7. When prompted with “Restore completed”, tap “Restart

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG Q6 to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media sync” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media file backups on the computer storage
  5. Copy and transfer the backup files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
