Back Up App Data:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Under “Phone Management”, tap “Backup & reset
  4. Under “Google Backup” tap “Back up my data
  5. Enable “Back up my data

Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access “General” if necessary
  3. Under “Phone management”, tap “Backup & reset
  4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore
  5. Tap “Back up data” and select the SD card
  6. Sign in with your LG account at the prompt
  7. Select “Personal data” and deselect the other options
  8. Expand the “Personal data” directory and ensure “Contacts” is enabled
  9. Tap “Start” > “Done

Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management
  4. Tap “LG Backup & Restore” > “Backup data
  5. Select “SD Card” and the contacts you want to back up
  6. Tap “Start
  7. At the “Backup complete” pop-up, tap “Done

Back Up Media Files:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Tap “backup & reset” under “Phone management
  3. Tap “LG Backup
  4. Access “Backup & restore
  5. Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
  6. Expand the “Media data” directory and select the desired files
  7. Tap “Start” > “Done

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate and copy the desired media files (or backup files ending in the .sbf extension) on the phone
  5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
  6. After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
