LG Tribute 5 wiped out my SD card

Has anyone had this happen? It was fine one day, and the next, the card wasn't readable. The only way I could see the pictures on the card, was to go to setting/storage and view them there. I tried to download the pictures from there but was unsuccessful. It now says I have to format the card before I can use it, and I can no longer view the pictures through settings/storage. Have anyone run into this? If so, is there any solution?

I tried reading the card on several home computers, but they are saying it needs to be formatted.
