NOTE: Visit this thread for a guide on how to back up data on the LG Q6+.

Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Switch to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone management
  4. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup
  5. Select the desired backup and tap “Start
  6. After the restore is complete, tap “Done

NOTE: Your device may have to reboot at least once in order for the process to complete.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone Management
  4. Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup
  5. Select the SD card backup and tap “Start
  6. When prompted with “Restored” tap “Done

Restore Media Files:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “Restore from backup
  4. Locate and tap the media file backup you want to restore and tap “Start
  5. At the “Restore completed” prompt, tap “Restart

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media sync” / “File transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
  5. Copy and transfer the backup files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
