NOTE: You can visit this thread for a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files.
Restore App Data:
- Open “Settings”
- Access the “General” tab
- Tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone management”
- Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup”
- Tap the desired backup file to restore
- Tap “Start” > “Done”
NOTE: You may have to reboot the phone to complete the restore.
Restore Contacts:
- Launch “Settings”
- If necessary, go to the “General” tab
- Scroll to “Phone management”
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Scroll to “LG Backup” and tap “Restore from backup”
- Select the desired backup and tap “Start”
- At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done”
Restore Media Files:
- Open “Settings”
- Access the “General” tab and tap “Phone management”
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “Restore from backup” under “LG Backup”
- Select the media file backups you want to restore
- Tap “Start”
- At the “Restore completed” prompt, tap “Restart”
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG device to the PC via USB
- Enable “Media sync” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate and copy the media file backups from the PC
- Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory of origin
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
