Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If one of your apps crashes, freezes, doesn’t work as intended or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these problems by clearing the app’s cache or data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal information stored within the app will be deleted. This includes settings, save files, user profiles, login and credit card information etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the cache.

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Scroll to “Phone management” in the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Apps
  4. Select the desired application
  5. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache
  6. If clearing the cache didn’t help, tap “Clear data” > “OK” (check WARNING above)

Clear the Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your device freezes, crashes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering factory resetting it, alternatively you can try fixing these issues by clearing the phone’s cache partition. This can have results similar to a factory reset without losing any personal data on the phone.

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management
  4. Tap “Storage” and access “Internal storage
  5. Wait for the device to finish calculating the data and tap “Cached data” > “Clear

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t help, you can check this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the phone instead.
