NOTE: For a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files, visit this thread.

Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab and tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone management
  3. Go to “LG Backup” and tap “Restore from backup
  4. Select the desired backup file and tap “Start” > “Done

NOTE: You need to reboot your device in order to finalize the restore.

Restore Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to “Phone Management
  3. Tap “Backup & Reset
  4. Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup
  5. Select the backup file you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start” > “Done

NOTE: You need to reboot your device in order to complete the process.

Restore Media Files:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to “Phone Management
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “Restore from backup
  4. Select the media files you want to restore
  5. Tap “Start
  6. At the “Restore completed” tap “Restart

Restore Media Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. Enable “Media sync” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
  5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
  6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
