NOTE: For a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files, visit this thread.
Restore App Data:
- Launch “Settings”
- Go to the “General” tab and tap “Backup & reset” under “Phone management”
- Go to “LG Backup” and tap “Restore from backup”
- Select the desired backup file and tap “Start” > “Done”
NOTE: You need to reboot your device in order to finalize the restore.
Restore Contacts:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Phone Management”
- Tap “Backup & Reset”
- Under “LG Backup” tap “Restore from backup”
- Select the backup file you want to restore
- Tap “Start” > “Done”
NOTE: You need to reboot your device in order to complete the process.
Restore Media Files:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Phone Management”
- Tap “Backup & reset” > “Restore from backup”
- Select the media files you want to restore
- Tap “Start”
- At the “Restore completed” tap “Restart”
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
- Enable “Media sync” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media file backups on the PC
- Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
- After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
