NOTE: For instructions on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files, visit this thread.
Restore App Data:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Backup & reset”
- Access “LG Backup”
- Tap “Restore from backup”
- Select the desired backup file and tap “Start” > “Done”
NOTE: You need to reboot the phone in order to finalize the process.
Restore Contacts:
- Launch “Settings”
- Access “Phone Management”
- Tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap “Restore from backup”
- Select the desired backup file and tap “Start” > “Done”
NOTE: You need to reboot the phone in order for the process to complete.
Restore Media Files:
- Launch “Settings”
- Access “Phone Management”
- Tap “Backup & reset” > “Restore from backup”
- Select the media files you want to restore and tap “Start”
- Go to “Restore completed” and tap “Restart”
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media sync” on the phone, either when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media file backups on the computer
- Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
