Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the PC
- Locate the audio files on the PC
- Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” / “Ringtones” folders
- Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Device”
- Tap “Sound” > “ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Press “OK”
Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or SIM card.
- Open “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “More” > “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK”
Change Incoming Email Alert Settings:
- Launch “Email”
- Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Go to “Account & Sync”
- Select the desired email account
- Enable “New Emails”
- Go to “Notification sound” and select the desired notification ringtone
- Optionally, you can turn “Vibrate” ON or OFF
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Launch “Messaging”
- Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Go to “Advanced settings”
- Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
- Under “Receive alerts”, select to “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and “AMBER alerts”
- Under “Sound and vibrate” select to turn “Alert vibration” and “Alert sound” ON or OFF
