Back Up App Data:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Access “Phone Management
  3. Tap “Backup & Reset
  4. Select “Google Backup
  5. Enable “Back up my data

Back Up Contacts to an LG Account:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to “Phone Management
  3. Tap “Backup & Reset” > “LG Backup
  4. Tap “Backup & Restore” > “Back up my data
  5. Sign in with your LG account and select “Personal data” while deselecting the other options
  6. Expand “Personal data” and ensure “Contacts” is checked
  7. Tap “Start” > “Done

Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Under “Phone management” tap “Backup & Reset
  3. Tap “LG Backup & Restore
  4. Tap “Backup data” > “SD Card
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Start” > “Done

Back Up Media Files:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Under “Phone Management” tap “Backup & Reset
  3. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & Restore
  4. Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
  5. Expand the “Media data” option and select the media files you want to back up
  6. Tap “Start” > “Done

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate the media files on the phone or the backup files that have the “.sbf” extension
  5. Copy and transfer the desired files to the backup location on the PC
  6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
