Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC
  5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders
  6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the ringtone you want to set and tap “OK”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or SIM card.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “More” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:

  1. Launch “Email”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings” > “Accounts & Sync”
  4. Enable “New emails” and go to “Notification sound”
  5. Select the desired notification sound and optionally, enable or disable “Vibrate”

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Open “Messages”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings” > “Advanced settings”
  4. Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  5. Turn “Imminent extreme alerts” “Imminent sever alerts” and “AMBER alerts” ON or OFF
  6. Under “Sound and vibrate” turn “Alert vibration” and “Alert sound” ON or OFF
