Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and computer
- Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the PC and copy them
- Transfer the files to the phone storage in the “Ringtones” and/or “notifications” directories
- Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Launch “Settings”
- Go to “Device” and tap “Sound”
- Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK”
Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones can’t be set for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or SIM card.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK”
Change Incoming Email Notification Sounds:
- Launch “Email”
- Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Go to “Accounts & Sync”
- Tap “New Emails” > “Notification sound”
- Select the desired notification alert and optionally, turn “Vibrate” ON or OFF
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Open “Messages”
- Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Go to “Advanced Settings”
- Enable or disable “Imminent severe alerts” “Imminent extreme alerts” and “AMBER alerts”
- Optionally, enable or disable “Sound and vibrate” “Alert sound” and “Alert vibration”
