What it means is the fact that not all network can be unlocked by code like Sprint or Verizon which are CDMA networks.

The problem is not with the codes but the fact that you cannot enter the code in any way.

So we strongly advice to check before the order if your device has an option to enter a code.

How to enter an unlock code in a LG:

First option:

1. Insert a simcard from a different network (for example if the device comes from Orange network insert a T-Mobile simcard).
2. Your LG should ask for an unlock code
- for Network PIN type the NCK code
- for Service provider PIN input the SPCK code

Second option (device doesn't ask for an unlock code with an unaccepted SIM)

1. Start the device with an accepted simcard (example LG was bought in Orange you need to insert an Orange card)
2. Go to the dial screen and press “2945#*model number#” (the same way you enter a phone number)
Example: the device is a P999 you need to enter “2945#*999#” or for KU990 you need to enter “2945#*990#” etc…

Third option (accepted simcard)

1. Go to dial screen and press 2945#*71001# or 2945#*20001# as if making a call
2. when a hidden window appears enter the unlock code

There is also one more way to unlock an LG and it supports two networks T-Mobile USA and Metro Pcs.

They use a special unlocking application without any codes.

The app is usually pre-installed or needs to be download from Google store.

Also before you make an order, check if the LG device is not showing a message "This device is permanently locked" if such message appears the device cannot be unlocked. It means that somebody has entered wrong codes in your device too many times, and it doesn't have an option to enter the unlock code.

Newest LG models coming from Metro PCS USA or T-Mobile USA that use a "Device Unlock app", cannot be unlocked by code (there is an unlock code available, but there is no way to enter it into the device).
