Anyone know if LG phones can download ring tones? DO you need a separate software?

Yeh, There is a program i use to convert midi files to MMF (LG poly's) which is pretty easy and allows for editing too

simply go down to add, and select your mmidi, then send it to your 10 digit number (area code + xxx-xxxx)

well i purchased a datacable and i just transfer ringtones to my phone.. i usually transfer .mid.. is that bad? am i supposed to transfer mmf?? the midis work on my phone though...

yea its way easier.. i purchased my data cable for 20 bucks @ radio shack.. then i use bitpim to transfer ringtones/wallpaper.

Downloading Ringtones
Check out www.brewbackups.com, there is a ton of free midi ringtones there. You just register and download away. Once you're there just go to the ringtones link (it's somewhere in the upper left box), scroll down click the midi files and they all appear. Right click on the one you want, Save target as, and you're done. Then you just e-mail the file to your phone as an attachment (your phone #@vzwpix.com) open up the picture message you receive and save the sound as "whatever you want." All done, works perfectly, let me know if that helps. Later

I use bitpim along with vx10 data transfer cable, it works pretty good. you can download bitpim from www.bitpim.com. This allows you to get rid of the verizon banner, download backgrounds and songs
