I'm wondering does anyone here run and maintain there own Linux Web Server?
If so what flavour of linx are you running and how do you find it as a Server OS?
I have 4 Linux Servers running off a dedicated business line in work, All running Ubuntu Linux, One is a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) Server, One is a mail server, one is a backup server for automated back ups, and one is file/proxy server for the network in work.
Any one else have any servers they own? I'd like to hear your set ups!

Re: Linux Web Servers
Where can I read about the smb3 network protocol? We are going to deploy a virtual machine on Windows Server 2016. For the correct organization of the file share, this network protocol is used, otherwise the server will not work.

Re: Linux Web Servers
As it concerns the launch of server, you certainly went too far, you can start the server without smb3 protocol but you won’t be able properly to configure the file system. You can read everything about smb3 on this site. I like the presentation of information, they won’t describe the full operation of network protocol there but you will find a lot of information about testing and launching the server there. You will also understand the difference between protocol release series.
