    There is a CDMA version of the phone, so it is certainly possible. However, it is up to MetroPCS to activate or offer the phone on their network, which I haven't seen any rumor of. The only way around that is to flash the ESN to another donor phone already offered on MetroPCS. That process can get very complicated.
