I have been experiencing a problem that I cannot seem to fix. I work in the IT field and I apologize if this thread is too technical, long or difficult to understand. I’ve broken down and finally joined the forum in hopes of finding the answer.
What I have:
Metro PCS Unrooted LG K20 on the unlimited plan
PS4 with the most up-to-date software available
HP Laptop running windows 10 (64 bit)
Full PDA net (with key)
What I need:
I need to be able to connect to the PSN (PlayStation Network) to download games, play online etc.
How far along I am:
I was successfully able to tether the device to the PC, PC works; browses the internet and streams Netflix, etc. (even large downloads work). Under security options I’ve asked the PC to share the connection via ethernet cord to the PS4. The PS4 DOES connect to the internet, Netflix, YouTube and I am able to download updates, etc. However I cannot seem access anything PSN related (store, downloads, DLCs for games). When I go to test internet connection this is the status:
SSID: PDA Net+…etc.
Obtain IP Address: Successful
Internet Connection: Successful
PSN Sign-In: Failed
NAT Type: Failed
Connection Speed (Download): Failed
Connection Speed (Upload): Failed
And I get an error about a DNS server?? I am tethering directly from the cellphone to the PC and then connecting the laptop with the PS4 via an Ethernet cord. When I try to use the hotspot, to connect the cellphone and the PS4 directly, it does not even connect to the internet. I have also tried using a proxy and changing the server address with 0 effect. Reading online, I have seen a few people comment that the MetroPCs (T-Mobile) will not allow login to PSN???
ANY HELP AT ALL IS APPRECIAED, I WILL KEEP YOU POSED IN HOPES OF FIXING THIS ISSUE FOR SOMEOME ELSE WHO MAY BE HAVING IT.

Re: MetroPCs to PSN Connectivity
Yea so update it no longer connects to the PC when I try to connect it says connected internet access but nothing opens with error: DNS server cannot be found. Specified Google DNS and still nothing. All of this to play Far Cry on the PS4
