Free text interceptor?

I need to monitor somebody's text messages, but I can't afford the software necessary to do so. Is there anyway or anything out there that will allow me to read every message to and from this person's iPhone 4 for free? I can't think of anything else, but if you need any additional information to give me a good newer, ask and you shall receive.
