    How do I get my Droid vibrate alert to be "always on." It appears that when I go between sound on and sound off I lose the vibrate alert on, so with the sound off I get no alert at all that I've got a call or a message. I'd like to default to vibrate always on because I don't care if it vibrates when it rings, but I really want it to vibrate when the sound is off.

    just turn your volume all the way down until it goes into VIBRATE by using the volume control button on the upper right SIDE of your DROID.
